On March 26, the Chair and Executive Director of Sheppard East Village were pleased to serve as judges for this unique event at Agincourt Collegiate Institute.
Three teams (over 100 students in total) each determined a theme, prepared a business plan & budget, developed, prepared and served a themed lunch, created a suitable lunch environment, prepared and delivered a speech about their theme and presented some interesting entertainment reflecting their theme – all under the direction of their teacher, Ms. Michailidis and Principal, Mr. Hu.
This event was a great success – and the students earned many kudos from those who spoke after the event. The support and positive attitudes – both within each team and for their fellow students – is something to behold. Congratulations to all!
Two facts make this an even more impressive event. This was the 19th year in which ACI students have participated in this challenging, high-level event and ACI seems to be the only school in Toronto that has this program as part of its annual student activities.
