Everyone is invited to a Community Picnic - a free event on Saturday June 11, 2016, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. - at the Burrows Hall Community Centre.
Burrows Hall is conveniently located at the corner of Sheppard Avenue East and Progress Avenue – one stoplight east of Markham Road. Parking at the picnic is free. TTC bus service on both Sheppard and Markham Road makes getting to this picnic an easy thing to do.
This great annual Community Picnic is organized by the volunteer members of the Community Police Liaison Committees and the dedicated officers of our local Toronto Police 42 Division.
42 Division serves the people, businesses and community organizations in the east end of Toronto – from Victoria Park Ave. to Port Union Road and from Highway 401 to Steeles Avenue.
Our neighbourhood is safe and being well protected by the dedicated team of police professionals who serve with Superintendent Kim Yeandle and her colleagues.
Every year, 42 Division and its Community Liaison Committees organize an exciting Picnic for everyone in our community. Many different + delicious foods, a variety of games, lots of entertainment, bouncy castles, a 50/50 draw, a silent auction, and a bike safety workshop are only some of the many reasons that you and your family will want to come out and enjoy this Picnic.
Proceeds from this Picnic will help to fund other 42 Division Community Police Liaison Committee programs – including awards and scholarships for local students; after-school student groups; a summer camp opportunity; and the annual 42 Division Auxiliary Christmas Toy Drive.
For further information about the Picnic or if you wish to donate any items for the silent auction, contact the 42 Division Community Services Office at 416-808-4238.
After enjoying the annual Community Picnic, everyone is welcome to come one block west - and sample the food, restaurants and shops of Sheppard East Village BIA.
